Kelly joined the Gunners on a temporary basis from Manchester City in January and was key to her team's efforts in winning the Champions League final against Barcelona in May. Now the club have confirmed they are in talks to sign her on a free transfer once she officially leaves City at the end of the month.

WHAT ARSENAL SAID
In their released list announced on Wednesday, Arsenal said: "The following players' contracts expire on June 30, 2025. Discussions are ongoing and once matters are finalised between all parties we will communicate in due course." Kelly was among the players listed.

Kelly revealed this week that she will sign "wherever makes me happy". She added that "Arsenal was a great place for me" after a falling out with Manchester City that effectively ended her time there earlier this year.

WHAT NEXT FOR KELLY?
Kelly's club future is in doubt but international duty is her main focus for the next few months. England are heading to Switzerland to defend their European Championship title, with the Lionesses playing a friendly against Jamaica on 29 June before their tournament begins against France on 5 July.
