ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
When Mbappe left Paris Saint-Germain last summer for Real Madrid, it was expected that the Ligue 1 giants would struggle to function properly in the Champions League, while Los Blancos were labelled as the favourites to win their 16th European title. However, that is not how things have unfolded as Real Madrid were dumped out in the quarter-finals by Arsenal, while PSG defeated the Gunners in the last four to reach the Champions League final in Munich.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Donnarumma was the Man of the Match for Paris Saint-Germain in the second leg against Arsenal at the Parc des Princes as the Gunners dominated early parts of the game before Les Parisiens took charge and won 2-1 on the night and 3-1 on aggregate. The Italian goalkeeper has now taken a sly dig at Mbappe by claiming that 'the spirit has changed' in the dressing room.

WHAT DONNARUMMA SAID
Speaking to Prime Video, Donnarumma said: “The spirit has changed, we are much more of a team. We play for each other. We miss Kylian, he is one of the best in the world and I wish him all the best because he is a great friend. The team is very united, we’re doing well together. We (Italy) won a European Championship like this, it makes all the difference in every team.”
